Workshops and Events

A series of researcher development workshops and events are offered throughout the year to support early-to mid-career researchers in engaging with different funding opportunities, impact and research direction management.

Nature Masterclasses Online

Nature Masterclasses is a professional development training resource developed for researchers by Nature Research (publisher of Nature and Scientific American).

Through the University's subscription, staff and Higher Degree Research (HDR) students are able to access the following online courses:

  • Effective Collaboration in Research
  • Scientific Writing and Publishing
  • Narrative Tools for Researchers
  • Managing Research Data to Unlock its Full Potential
  • Focus on Peer Review

EMCR Network

The University provides networking opportunities for our Early and Mid-Career Researchers, in the form of morning teas, campus-based community networks and virtual meetings involving the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Enterprise & Innovation) and Pro Vice-Chancellor, Research. These initiatives allow EMCRs to work with their peers across an array of disciplines and provide the opportunity to share ideas and create long-term support systems.
