The strategy document currently outlines seven key objectives:

Provide opportunities for ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Students to learn and succeed in an environment that promotes ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ excellence.

Position WSU as a place of choice for ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Australians to work in an environment that supports and nurtures their careers.

Develop the breadth and depth of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Research with a vision to promote research that empowers ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Australians.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Sydney University ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Elders Advisory Committee

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Sydney University ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Elders Advisory CommitteeÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ has a vibrant group of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Australian Elders who provide advice to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Leadership and the university, on matters related to ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ culture. As esteemed members of their own communities, the Elders provide a connection between the university and matters impacting the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ community in Greater ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Sydney. The Elders also assist in building ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ cultural viability and knowledge across the university and support ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ staff and students, as required. The university community consults the Elders on a diverse array of matters, ranging from the design of new spaces to the sharing of university ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ strategic matters.Ìý

The committee is Chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Leadership and membership is comprised of up to eight ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ people who are recognised as Elders in the community. Membership is for a term of two years and the committee meets four times per year. Sitting fees are provided.

Ignite ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Traineeship Program

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Sydney University through the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Leadership (ODVCIL) provides a vocational pathway
for ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ participants to gain paid experience in university operations as
business administration trainees.Ìý
