ZEST Awards – Unsung Heroes Award
The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Sydney University Unsung Heroes Award recognises an outstanding currently enrolled ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Sydney University student that has either established or worked within community enterprises. The recipient of the Unsung Heroes Award receives a $5,000 academic gift from the Chancellor, with the award being conferred at the annual ZEST Awards ceremony, coordinated by ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Sydney Community Forum.
7NEWS Young Achiever Awards
The 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards acknowledges, encourages and promotes the positive achievements of young people in NSW & the ACT, up to and including 29 years of age. ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ is proud to partner with the awards, sponsoring the Academic Excellence award.
The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Sydney University Academic Achievement Award acknowledges young people displaying passion, drive, a willingness to learn and work hard to help them create opportunities and achieve excellent outcomes in their chosen field. At ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ we have celebrated excellence since 1989 and for this reason are committed to recognising outstanding students throughout NSW and the ACT.

Community Events
The Office of Engagement and Advancement work with local community groups and organisations to run a range of events both on and off campus. These events are open to the community and provide opportunities for networking and recognition for our community and its people.
Events we have been fortunate to be part of are Ramadan Iftar Dinner, Yarramundi Lecture, Zest Awards, 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Engagement Network, the newly launched Social Justice Network and many more.

The Talloires Network is global coalition of 402 engaged universities in 78 countries that have all signed onto the Talloires Declaration. ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Sydney University was one of the original 29 signatories to the Talloires Declaration at the 2005 Talloires Conference.
