Applying to ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ for Music
All music applicants will need to apply through UAC or direct.
You may either audition into the degreeÌýor submit qualifications for Band 4 HSC Music, or AMEB theory and practical qualifications or TAFE qualifications.
Auditions
To audition for the degree, book a time through the link below. You will be asked to perform two short, contrasting pieces or songs (or excerpts of two pieces) and/or perform one piece and present one or more compositions as scores and/or recordings. Works performed can be covers or originals, performed solo or with accompanying musicians or with backing tracks on your phone.
Auditions will be held at the Kingswood campus or on Zoom, on the following dates:
- July 12 (on Kingswood campus); July 14 (on Zoom); and August 23 (on Zoom);
- November 21 (on campus), November 22 (on Zoom) and November 23 (on campus);
- January 16, 2024 (on campus), January 17 (on Zoom) and January 18 (on Zoom).

Apply through UAC or ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ and Submit AMEB or TAFE qualifications
(a)ÌýBand 4 HSC:ÌýApplicants who have a band 4 or higher in the HSC will not be required to audition.
(b)ÌýAMEB: If you have demonstrated a level of attainment in 6th grade AMEB musical performance (instrument or voice) or equivalent, and 4th grade AMEB music theory and/or musicianship or equivalent, you will not be required to audition. Instead,ÌýwhenÌýyouÌýapplyÌýfor the degree, youÌýcan uploadÌýyourÌýAMEB qualifications toÌýyour application.
(c) TAFE: If you have attained a diploma or advanced diploma in Music from TAFE you will not be required to audition.ÌýInstead,Ìýwhen you apply for the degree,Ìýyou will be askedÌýtoÌýuploadÌýyour TAFE qualifications toÌýyour application.
