Microcredentials are industry relevant, university certified courses which enable you to address professional learning needs and advance your skill set without needing to commit to a full multi-year degree.
The National Microcredentials Framework defines microcredentials as a certification of assessed learning or competency, with a minimum volume of learning of one hour and less than an AQF award qualification, that is additional, alternate, complementary to or a component part of an AQF award qualification.
Microcredentials at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ are taught through the online learning platform OpenLearning. Through this platform you are able to learn at your own pace through interactive and engaging modules. Through these courses you are also part of a growing classroom, able to connect with other learners and your teacher. Some specialised courses are also taught through online zoom sessions and face-to-face sessions on campus or other facilities.

Upon successful completion of each microcredential, you will receive a digital credential in the form of a badge and/or certificate. ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ uses Accredible, which enables you to securely access and share your achievements at any point in time.
Digital credentials are badges and/or certificates which note the completion of Microcredentials and provide additional evidence of your commitment to increasing your skill set in a particular field.
These credentials can be shared to social media and professional networking sites (e.g. LinkedIn) or embedded in email signatures, websites and more.
